22nd of May 2009 - Tokyo, Japan: KAT-TUN Concert

Yes, I flew thousands miles (I live in the Netherlands) just to see DBSK & KAT-TUN live!
Whoever thought we were this luckly! Able to go to the concerts of my favorite bands in one week! I'm so damn happy! *jumps* We went through so many things to be able to go to Japan and actually succeeding to get tickets for the concerts! And I want to thank my friend Akiko again for getting us the tickets for the two concerts! ^^ *bows*

We (me, my sister and my best friend) heard on wednesday (20th) from our friend that KANJANI8's concert was canceled, because of the Swine Flue, so we were afraid they would also cancel the KAT-TUN concert, but luckly they didn't!!! PHEW.
Before we went to the concert we first went to Harajuku for the 2nd time, to get more DBSK photos. XD This time we saw they also have pictures of KAT-TUN's newest concerts! Which was cool, because now we could see how the boys looked like during the concert! XD I also bought some Jin pictures from the concert, of course. I didn't bought that much, since I already bought hundreds of Jin photos last December, LOL. XD
And we went to one of the ticket shops in Harajuku for fun (since we already had tickets for the concert), just to see how high the ticket prices were overthere. Well some tickets were just the same price as at ticket.co.jp. So no difference there. XD Oh and I marked a red circle on the photo, on the Tokyo Dome map, so that you guys can see where our seats were (when we took this photo, we still didn't know where our seats were, since they didn't say where the seats were at ticket.co.jp). And on the left at the back you see all kind of KAT-TUN Tokyo Dome tickets.

Look at that, my favorite boys! ♥ Btw, all the Tohoshinki tickets for Tokyo Dome were all sold out! We didn't see any concert tickets for Tohoshinki in that shop.

So after Harajuku we headed towards the concert. And wow, it was madness when we arrived, because it's a small station, so there were these men to take care of all the 'people' traffic, LOL. And there were a lot of girls standing outside the station with notes to get tickets for the concert.
And it was funny to see the difference of audience of Tohoshinki & KAT-TUN! XD The audience of KAT-TUN is younger than the Tohoshinki audience. But at the KAT-TUN concert there were also a lot of these 'make-up dolls', you know, the 'Harajuku-kind-of-girls'? People were really dressed up for the KAT-TUN concert! As if they were going to a club or something. It was really funny to see that! XD

Anyways after walking up the stairs you got to see all these kind of flags with KAT-TUN on them, which was really cool! And look how HUGE Tokyo Dome is! O_O;

And as you could see on the previous photo, you see a white paper with a red arrow on it, right? Well it turned out to be the way to the goods, but we didn't know that! XD So after walking a couple of minutes, my sister tried to ask some high school student the way to the goods, because we saw her with a KAT-TUN bag. And since she was still in high school my sister thought; 'well maybe she can speak some english, since she is in high school'...HAHA. Well guess what, just like most Japanese people, she could barely speak english. And we already know that you have more chance with older people than young people, that they can speak english. But hey, you can always try, right? XD But she was trying to explain it with hand signs and stuff and she was pointing down and my sister said 'down' and she was like 'yes, down, down!'. ROFL, was so cute! XDDD Anyways it turned out we had to go straight ahead and go downstairs...
But when we went downstairs we were like...'ok, and now?' LOL. It was big, so many people and shops, but we were like 'oh well, we will just follow the direction where the people with KAT-TUN bags are coming from...' And after walking just straight ahead, we finally found it! XD But OMG let me tell you about the journey we had to make to the goods. LMAO. So first there was this board with the goods on it standing outside some building. So we went inside and went downstairs, but we had to walk down like 7 staircases or something and with every staircase there was a guy standing, guiding us to the goods! And the hallways between the stairs had TV screens with the goods on them.
And then after a long journey, we finally made it to the goods. It looked like a small concert hall. Anyways it turned out that the goods were sold at different stands. So you had queue at the goods you wanted to have. Totally different than at the Tohoshinki concert, there you could buy all the goods at one stand. And you didn't get any folder with the goods in them, so when it was my turn to buy something, I just pointed at the boxes of the goods I wanted to have. In this concert hall you could also buy all their singles, albums, photobooks and DVDs, which was cool. I missed that at the Tohoshinki concert!
So after we bought our goods we went back up, and there were some KAT-TUN things outside, like this board for their new photobook, which looked really cool! ^^

And then we waited outside, the weather was nice, way better than in Sendai at Tohoshinki's concert, LOL. XD No rain this time! ^^

We went inside at 6pm, first this guy ripped off one part of my ticket and then my bag was being checked by this girl, but the cool thing is that she asked me first if she had my permission to go through my bag! How nice is that?! I never heard this before, that they ask during bag checks to ask permission first for this! XD Plus she was wearing white gloves and all! WOW. Anyways after the bag check we walked to our seats, and it turns out that you can buy drinks and food inside the Tokyo Dome! They didn't had this in Sendai (probably because it's a small venue).
And then my friend showed the ticket to some staff member, and HAHA OMG it turned out that our seats were almost at the back of the 2nd ring! ROFL. Do you know how freaking far away that is? XDDD But you know what surprised us the most? That you still had a good view at everything! O______O; Seriously! You would expect the view would be horrible from our seats, but it was ok! The boys weren't THAT tiny when they were walking by, under us! XDD
We probably still had a nice view, because we were sitting on the left side, which is small, like the right side. But if you were sitting at the back in the middle, then your view will be worse, since the 2nd middle ring is larger than the 2 sides!
But WOW, to be sitting in Tokyo Dome is WOW. The ceiling is HUGE! @_@; Oh and I always thought that people were standing in the middle (arena), between the stages, but that's not true! They also have seats! But they just stand during the concert, like the rest of the people. But yeah it was really weird to be in Tokyo Dome, because you always watch the KAT-TUN concerts on your TV, thinking 'Whoa Tokyo Dome is huge' and now you are sitting there yourself...wow. Just WOW!
Okay let me already prepare you about the rest of my report;
1. Jin is my favorite. ♥
2. Tokyo Dome is HUGE, so I was searching for Jin all the time.
3. Since Tokyo Dome is so HUGE, you easily lose sight of the members.
4. Because Tokyo Dome is HUGE, you can't follow everything what was happening during the songs. Because you was searching for the members everytime! I couldn't follow everyone, where they were, on which stage, etc. O__O;
5. Beside Tokyo Dome is HUGE, you saw all these 200 Johnny Junior boys dancing around the boys, which made you search even more for the KAT-TUN members!
6. The concert is almost a month ago, so I probably forgot a lot of things! @__@;
This is how the stage kinda looks like, and I know,
the side thingies weren't that square-ish, but you get the picture ;) :

So thanks to those side-walk-stage-thingies, we still could see them, because they passed by a lot! Walking under us, whoohoo! But my sister couldn't take a picture inside Tokyo Dome, before it started, because there were 3 men standing, watching us. O__O; They had so many people watching the audience, to check if they weren't taking any photos, etc. So I'm surprised how people can make those fancams, since they have so many men watching the audience, during the whole concert!
Anyways we were watching all the people getting to their seats and then it was finally 6.30pm! And whoa another cool lightstick audience effect this time! The lightstick showed random colors, so when the lights went out we saw +/- 55.000 lightsticks with random colors! Oh man, it was so pretty and cool! ^____^ And two women who were sitting infront of me brought their 'NewS Diamond' lightsticks with them... *rolls eyes* I like NewS and all, but if you are going to a KAT-TUN concert, you will bring along or buy KAT-TUN lightsticks, right?!
But WOW what a show! We had water, fire, fireworks, bungee jumps, flying hot boys, motors in a cage, amazing effects and lots more! You guys probably saw already some parts of the concerts during the news videos or if you went to the concert(s) yourself. It was really awesome!!! ^^
Oh man, the concert was so KAT-TUN-ish. Seriously! A lot of chaos! @_@; ROFL. We had tongues sticking out, middle fingers, sunglasses, Jin forgetting his lyrics, all kind of hip movements, chaotic dance steps, flying frisbees with signatures, a beat-boxing Maru, Kame who was pissing of Jin, a screaming gangster-ish Koki, a bored Jin who was checking his nails, a cute smiling Ueda, a wet Jin, a hyper Junno, Jin trying to push people off stage, Junno who was being teased all the time, we were called 'Bitches' ("thanks a lot", Koki!), fans screaming their lungs out because Jin was doing something Jin-ish...such a chaos, such a screaming, such a typical KAT-TUN concert! PUHAHAHA.
And let me tell you about the audience, they are so screamy. But you know when the screaming was the most and the loudest? When 4 members of KANJANI8 suddenly showed up, I thought I died! The screaming was ENORMOUS! OMG. It was really horrible, it hurted my ears A LOT! But the weird thing is that the audience was screaming more (louder) for those other groups (like Hey!Say!JUMP and Kis-My-Ft2) than for KAT-TUN, which I found really weird. Gosh, it reminded me how much I love the Tohoshinki audience! Haha. XD They were so quiet during the songs. ♥
Eventhough the music was still loud, it was less intense and the sound sometimes echoes in Tokyo Dome. And maybe it was because we were sitting so far away. Anyways back to the concert; they first did all their singles (except for Real Face), starting with 'RESCUE' of course. AHHH it was so cool when they appeared! Just like with DBSK, it was so weird to see them in real-life! That you are attending their concert! Because you mostly see them on your computer or on TV and now you are in Japan, seeing them real-life! It was sooo cool!!! ^____^
And it was funny to
Anyways back to the songs, so they did all their singles one after each other and it went so fast that I don't remember all of it anymore! But it was just so awesome to hear all their singles so loud and live with my own ears. AHHH. It was so cool! ^^ I never thought I would ever experience a KAT-TUN concert in Tokyo Dome! But Jin's 'Call my nameeeee' was really cool, so was his solo dance part during 'RESCUE'!
Then we had 'ONE DROP', oh and at the back stage you had all these 200 Johnny Junior dancers and above them all these huge screens. There were lots of screens! O_O; But they also had this large screen in the center and everytime when they sang a new song, the title of that song appeared on the large center screen. And you saw all these kind of screen effects at the back stage during the songs, it looked so cool! Anyways we had water popping up from the floor during this song and at the end of 'ONE DROP', Jin said 'BANG', RAWR ♥ 'Kurosagi' anyone? XDDD...
Ah 'LIPS', another song that I love! Although I love all their songs, PUHAHA. All their singles are awesome! ^^ Awww I missed those funky mics during this song. They used those funky mics during the concert, when they sang some other song, but just only to play a little with them, like they did with their QoP concert. And they were aiming at Jin this time, but he could escape from them, ROFL! XD After 'LIPS' they performed 'Yorokobi no Uta', 'Keep the faith' and then 'DON'T U EVER STOP'; Jin was sticking his middle finger up during this song, but no surprise here, ROFL. Typical Jin. Fans were screaming their lungs out, of course. XD
Haha it so funny to hear 'White X'mas', because it was so warm outside. XD But I LOVE this song! ♥ They performed the 'Album Version'. And they performed this song on the middle round stage, which looked cool with the light bows around them. They performed many songs on the middle stage. And it was awesome that they had stages everywhere through Tokyo Dome, so that everyone could see them! ^^
AHHHH, '
Anyways during the song Kame went into one of the cages, well they let you think Kame went into one of those cages. But when the cage of Kame went into the air, I already saw that Kame wasn't in the cage anymore, but someone else. Because of the lighting. When the cage was hanging in the air, at the highest point (the cage was at our side), they showed you Kame in the cage on the screens, presuming he was still in cage. HA yeah right. They made a mistake with the lighting! Because when you saw Kame on screen you saw red and white lights on him, but when you looked at the cage, you only saw a red light and no white light, LOL. XD So this person was hanging outside the cage and then he fell down and everyone was 'OHHHH' and screamed, haha. XD
So everyone thought Kame jumped out of the cage, but then he suddenly showed up at the top left side of the back stage. And then at the middle stage Kame held in each hand sparkles and flew with them in circles, which was really cool. And the water part too, where everyone was throwing buckets of water on Kame. XD '1582', gotta love that song. It was awesome. ♥
'PIERROT' HAHA the lyrics on the screens! Such a typos! XDD But the whole motor-in-cage act was REALLY SUGOI!!! It was freaking awesome. Wow, such a show! And AWWWW Koki's little brother was adorable! But Koki was also looking so adorable to his little brother, so brother-ish! XDD And after that he hit his little brother on the head, ROFL. XD
'WIND'; during Junno's solo, Jin suddenly showed up at some cart (on the right side, under us), singing along, RAWR. ♥ And before Maru jumped, they got into these orange suits and Jin pushed Junno off the cart. And then Maru jumped!!! That poor boy! Haha, I thought he was going to throw up, seriously, he had this 'I'm-SO-going-to-throw-up' look on his face! XD But GOOO MARU!!! *high fives* XDD
And then we had 'Peak', Jumpin' up' & 'No matter matter' During 'Peak', I saw Jin sitting in a cage on my left and he was hanging above the audience, well almost in it! You saw all these girls screaming (and going crazy) and grabbing onto anything of Jin, his shoes, his pants, etc. And I thought 'dudes, get him out of there, alive'...LMAO XD Madness, I'm telling ya. XD
AHH the MC part! Well it was awesome to be there at the 8th day, to celebrate with the boys that they broke the records!!! It was really cool to see all those TV people on stage, interviewing them, taking pictures of them, being on TV (eventhough you don't see yourself, but you can still say that you were there!), haha! Well the cool thing is that we could show our parents where our seats were, because with the lightstick 'Arigatou KAT-TUN' part, we were the ones at the end of 'Arigatou'. I have marked a red circle in the screencap where our seats were:

Watch it for yourself: http://www.megavideo.com/?v=IA50ZCQY
Well I think everyone knows about the rest of the MC by now, what they said, etc (our friend was with us, so she could translate some for us). That Jin was acting all innocent why everyone was screaming, because he was acting cute! XD And at one moment Jin looked really bored and went checking his nails in an arrogant way, ROFL. It really cracked me up! And at one moment Junno had to shut up, so they took him off screen, LOL. Poor Junno! Kame found Ueda cute lately, etc. Oh and the cool part was with the posters! They gave away 6 posters with their signatures on them and OMG we were SO close!! But noooo, some girl two rows below us had won one! Some lucky girl!!! ^^
After the MC they sang ‘WATER DANCE’ and ‘MOON’, and I loveeeeeeee these songs so much!! ♥ And this is the part what I was talking about earlier, that the music was less intense, because I was waiting for the heavy beat of ‘MOON’, but noooo, it wasn’t that intense! T_T; And Jin sang 'Under the moonlight' really wonderful! But both performances were really cool!!! ^___^
Ah the sitting part, because now it was time for the Juniors to perform. Well the funny thing is that I so not like the other groups, but I know ‘Hey!Say!JUMP’s song, and I even like it! How scary is that! O___O; But I like their song, because I didn’t know it was them in the beginning. ROFL. I was in Harajuku last December and as you maybe know, they have music playing in the ‘Takashita(-dori)’ street, repeating the same song over and over again. Well last December it was ‘Midnight Shadow Boy’, but yeah I didn’t know it was HSJ! (Btw when I was there in May, it was NewS’s ‘Koi no ABO’) Until I watched the Countdown 2008-2009 and heard the song! And I was ‘OHHH NOOO, it’s a HSJ song’!! LOL. And I also don’t like to say this, but Kis-My-Ft2’s ‘Fire Beat’ (lol, I didn’t know the title of the song, I read it at some other fan account) sounded ok! T__T; Crap! LOL. And omg I went deaf, AGAIN! Especially with the head-banging part, gawd.
’Real Face’, I seriously failed at my hand movements during the song! XD Jin made Maru sing his part, LMAO. And I was like ‘NOOO JINNN, I wanna hear your voiceeee~!’ LOL. But our medley, I already knew that they would sing different songs everyday…and I was jealous at the medleys of the other days, because I didn’t like our medley (‘Heartbreak Club’, ‘MIRACLE’, ‘Utai Tsuzukeru Toki’)… =X Oh well, nothing you can do about it, and besides it was fun to watch the boys singing these songs. ^^
’Hana no mau machi’ OMG, Ueda is sooo adorable! I love it when he smiles, he is so cute! ♥ And awww when he made a mistake on the piano, that he kneeled down for his mistake, awww…like I said, he is SO adorable! XD ’WHITE WORLD’ It was so cool to hear Maru beat-boxing with my own ears! ^^ GOOO Maruuu~!! XD
And then…Jin’s solo! I waited so long for this moment! And it was a big surprise for me what he would sing, since I went to Japan on the 13th and didn’t go on the internet, so I wasn’t updated with the latest news about the concerts and stuff. So it was still a surprise for me…and the intro part was really cool with the whole rewind dance part!!! And then on the screen it said ‘Wonder’ …feat. ‘Crystal Kay’…I was like ‘COOOOL!!’…and then the music started…OMG OMG OMG OMG and then Jin started to sing; OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! I’m SO in love with ‘WONDER’!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ OMG, it was really awesome!!! It's so cool that the song is in English again, just like LOVEJUICE! And Jin’s voice was sometimes so dark-ish, so ‘rawr-ish’. DAMN. I’m so freaky happy that I’ve seen this performance with my own eyes, live!!! OMG. And the music video was also soooo cool!!! I hope they will put it on the DVD!! I really can’t wait to hear the song again, in good quality (eventhough it still sounds ok on the fancams)!!! Whooo, I’m so hyper, haha. XDDD But Jin and Crystal Kay sounded really good together! ^^
’ Versus corner’ was funny! Junno was taken down by Ueda. It was funny to see Junno acting all ‘Romeo and Julia-ish’…LMAO. But also to see the smile on Ueda’s face and putting his foot on Junno, haha. Such a cutie! XD And then the Koki & Maru ‘DA!’ act, LOL. And then we had our hot boys flying through Tokyo Dome! Jin just held himself stiff and Kame was just flying~ LOL. And then I read somewhere that they performed ‘Ai no Command’, but I seriously can’t remember that they performend this song! O_O; Eventhough I love this song to death! Oh man, my memory is really horrible! T_T;
But I can remember ’WILDS OF MY HEART’ and ‘NEIRO’! Jin forgot his lyrics at the beginning of 'NEIRO', he thought he finished his part, but he still had to sing 2 lines or so, lol, the look on his face, because nobody continued singing, because it was still Jin's part! XDDD And then Kame forgot his part and sang along with Jin’s part, lol, the look on Jin’s face. I still find it a ‘pissed off’ look, he was like 'WTF'?! XD And Jin tried to sing a high note during some song, but it didn’t come out well, it was too sharp and pitchy/squeeky, LOL. And then they went away and came back with ‘SHE SAID... & Peacefuldays’. We were ‘Boys & Bitches’ thanks to Koki! *rolls eyes* Jin showed up wet'♥. He even poured more water on himself later on. And then Jin spitted water to Junno (a couple of times), since they were on the same cart, it was so funny to watch the Jin & Junno show, they were right under us, on our left side! And then we sang ‘K-A-T-T-U-N’ for about 239834 times during ‘Peacefuldays’! Which was so much fun!! ^^ And somewhere near the end we had to turn off our lightsticks, because now the other lightsticks showed 'WE ARE KAT-TUN' and a ♥.
Then they went away again and after that I seriously became deaf…because suddenly 4 members of KANJANI8 showed up! You guys seriously had to hear the audience! They went nuts! It was MADNESS! O____O; And I don’t like KANJANI8, but I like Ryo though (yup, me likes 'NewS')!!! So that was really cool! Now I also have seen Ryo in real-life! WHOOHOOO~~ But it was so and so cool to see Ryo & Jin together!!!! And the audience screamed their heads off when you saw them together on screen! But aww Jin was so cute with Ryo next to him, smiling and stuff. ♥ But the 2nd encore was also cool with ‘Harukana Yakusoku & Will Be All Right’!! ^____^ The end of the concert was the cutest...Jin standing behind the wall, acting adorable and saying goodbye to us! *died* XD
But wow what a show! I’m really glad that I went to their concert! I never thought I would get to see KAT-TUN in real-life, that I would be able to go to their concert. It was really awesome! ^___^ And these are the goods that I bought at the concert:

And guess what, we went to ‘Nakano Broadway' and yup,
we went to the same shop as where Jin & Koki had to wear those cosplay costumes! XD

We went in, and we were like ‘Whoa, Jin & Koki have been here too’, haha XD
